About me

Lukasz Welna

Hello! My name is Lukasz. I am a mechatronic engineer by profession. I graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics on AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow.

Apart from work, I really enjoy playing darts and I am a member of the local dart league. In my free time, I also like cycling and working out at the gym.

I have experience with programming PLC controllers and industrial robots. Over time, I realized that I wanted to engage more with the software side. I learned some web technologies during my studies and have always enjoyed programming, so I decided to further improve my skills in web development. That is why I joined the Przyszly Programista project:

  • I began developing my skills in the C++ language, which provided a solid foundation in algorithmics, structured programming, and object-oriented programming. During this phase I created the Address Book and Personal Budget console applications.
  • Next, I delved into frontend technologies, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Subsequently, I expanded my expertise to backend technologies, such as PHP and MySQL. All this allowed me to create my first extensive web application, based on an MVC framework that was built from scratch – the Personal Budget app. Furthermore, during this phase, I learned how to build a website using WordPress, which is the most popular content management system.
  • In the final phase, I learned about the C# language, design patterns, and both unit and integration testing in C#. Additionally, I acquired skills in ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, and React. This comprehensive knowledge equipped me to create a REST API for the Note App. Moreover, I successfully deployed this app on an Ubuntu VPS. Subsequently, I expanded my expertise to include ASP.NET MVC, which played a crucial role in the development of the Wallet Tracker application.
I encourage you to check out my portfolio and contact me if you have any questions or are interested in cooperation.
